Zero effect: why aphrodisiacs don't work

Aphrodisiacs are substances that have a positive effect on sexual desire. We decided to find out if they really work, or if it's all more like a fairy tale.

It is believed that the term aphrodisiac comes from the name of the Greek goddess of love Aphrodite, and today the preparations containing this word in their name are very popular.

You bet, who would not want to be the object of passionate desire in men, each of us in the soul dreams to conquer millions. But pills for sexual attractiveness, unfortunately, something from the category of fiction. Legends about magical drugs are willingly fueled by manufacturers, and we, brought up in the era of advertising, of course, believe in the magic pill.

Ineffectiveness

Manufacturers of miracle drugs rather cynically convince their consumers that some animals or insects secrete from their bodies such substances that can affect the attractiveness of a person, in other words, make him sexually attractive to absolutely everyone. Such a statement is more of a myth than a reality. In nature, there are simply no such oils, plants, products or chemical compounds that can magically make someone universally sexually attractive, and along with the already unprecedented magic - to expand sexual possibilities. In short, a great lure for insecure buyers. In fact, the "love drink" or any other form of magic potion, helps only to relax, and therefore begin to enjoy their own person. Then the question arises: why spend a lot of money on a supposedly effective drug, if the same effect can be obtained, say, from alcohol? And note that here we are not talking about drugs that really increase sexual performance in the truest sense of the word, but such drugs have nothing to do with aphrodisiacs and are used mainly by men. So, for example, the well-known Viagra is not an aphrodisiac, its purpose is to increase the functionality of the body.

And yet, despite the lack of scientific evidence of effectiveness, and most importantly - safety, "love drinks" in the widest range are sold by a variety of enterprising businessmen. Basically, "drugs" are distributed through online stores, there is no way to check the authenticity and effectiveness of the product. And now just think: the approximate income of sellers of aphrodisiacs is estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars a year!

Benefits

The real effect that aphrodisiacs can have on the body is limited to just the usual functions of sedatives: reducing stress, relieving irritability, increasing energy levels in the body and mind, and elevating mood. It is asked, why spend money on unknown drugs, if you can limit yourself to Persen or Novopassit?

Among other things, aphrodisiac is really a substance that can stimulate sexual excitement, but not cause it.

Harm

In fact, the harm that aphrodisiacs can cause is minimal, but there is still a small risk. For example, in addition to all sorts of dubious drinks, to which there can be an unpredictable allergic reaction, among women the most common is excitable intimate cosmetics. And here it is necessary to remember that the constant use of aphrodisiacs can, firstly, reduce libido, and secondly, cause psychological dependence - a person gets used to using a stimulating cream before sexual intercourse, and if this cream for some reason is not available, there is a risk of a psychological block.
